Credits and Rank

Craig's Directory is different in that it ranks websites by the number of credits each website has earned. Websites with lots of credits get higher rank and more links.

This is how websites can earn credits:

• Every time someone clicks a link back to Craig's Directory from your website it earns 5 Credits.
• Every time someone clicks the link to your website in Craig's Directory, your website earns 1 Credit.
• You can buy credits ($5 per 1,000 Credits).

What do the icons mean?

Each website listed in Craigs Directory has 4 icons...

	Allows you to buy extra credits to improve the rank of your website.
	Shows more information about your website, including a summary of it's rank.
	You can update the details of your website, including requesting a new thumbnail image.
	Shows the rank of your website and where you can find it's links

Where can websites links be found?

With lots of credits, it is possible for websites to have over 2,000 links from Craigs Directory!

1. Links to the Top 3 websites are displayed on
   1. the Homepage
   2. the Top 25 page
   3. the Latest Links page
   4. the "Add a Website" page
2. Links to the Top 9 websites are displayed on
   1. the Homepage of Craigs Directory
   2. the Homepage of Craigs Mobile Directory
3. Links to the Top 25 websites are displayed on
   1. the Top 25 page
   2. the Page 1 of the Ranked Sites page (thumbnail version)
4. Links to the Top 100 websites are displayed on the Page 1 of the Ranked Sites page (text version)
5. Links to the Top 3 websites within a chosen category are displayed on the Category selection page.
6. Links to the Top 9 websites within a chosen category are displayed on
   1. the Category selection page of Craigs Directory
   2. the Category selection page of Craigs Mobile Directory
7. Links to the Top 3 websites within a chosen sub-category are displayed on all the sub-Category pages.
8. Only 20 websites are displayed per page within the sub-Category pages, so links to the Top 20 websites are shown on the first page in.

9. In addition to being ranked in Craigs Directory and Craigs Mobile Directory, websites with paid credits are also listed in the Paid Directory as follows:

Submitting a new link

To add your website to Craigs Directory, follow these simple steps...

• Click the Add A Website link.
• Once in the "Add Website" page, select the submission type; "Ranked" for higher rank and "Free" for general submission.
• Next, select the appropriate category and enter the URL (web address) for your website.
• To have the Title, Description and Keywords populated from the META tags of your website, click the "Get Your Websites META Values" button and wait for these to be populated.
• Complete the rest of the submission form and click the "Submit Link" button.
• If you selected the "Ranked" submission type, complete the purchase of credits for higher rank and immediate inclusion.

Editing a submitted link

If you need to change the details of your website link, request a new thumbnail for your web site or purchase additional credits for higher rank, there are two options:

1. Click the Edit Links link at the top of the page and use your email address for authentication. Once logged in you will be able to select the web site you need to manage.
2. Navigate to your web site listing in Craigs Directory and then click the icon alongside your web site's thumbnail, again, use your email address for authentication

Both these options will bring you to a form which will allow you to update the details of your web site, request a new thumbnail and purchase additional credits to elevate the rank of your web site.
